I figure I should write this, in case this actually gets off the ground. I started this blog one night, late on Halloween 2016/waaaay early on november 1st 2016. Lack of money was causingmy great despair, as was the idea that there was nothing I could do to make that money which I needed. I had no skills, no decent education, and was a very sad person, in general! I still am come to think about it but sssssshhhhhhhhh
I dunno exactly why I decided "let's blog it", which I believe is the proper vernacular for blogging. Let's Blog It. Let Us Blog It. Rolls off the tongue, no way it isn't what blogging is called. But the point is, I did start on, and I decided this blog needs reasons for existing! And so, I came up with 3 points I wish to achieve with this blog
1: One of my goals in life, and probably the easiest one(not that I think it will be easy at all) is to become a published author. If I can get one book out, I would love that. Perhaps having this blog as a way to track my process would help me continue it?
2: Another thing I like, besides writing, is video games. Love them video games. I like playing them, for the most part, but I also really enjoy the history behind them, the story behind them. One thing I would like to do, I think, is write a bit about that. Not as a major focus of this blog, I think, but more as a hobby thing. I have some ideas as to what to write about, so hopefully I'll have something soon?
3: And finally, to learn how to write for myself. This is the main point, hence the title of the blog. Whenever I write, there's a voice in the back of my head, telling me that nobody will care, and if they do, they won't like it. Which might be true, but having those thoughts won't help me in the long run. So, the main point of this blog is to get rid of those thoughts, and learn to write for myself, without the thoughts of anybody else caring bothering me. What other people think can come after I finish it, no?
So, those are the reasons this blog exists. To keep me on track, to sometimes talk about video games i like, and to learn how to not worry about how people will think of the finish product until after I finish that product! Will this work out? Who knows, but I'm gonna find out!
